If you're a fan of gargoyles, chances are you recognize the fellow below. He's on an apartment building in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan.
I never lived in New York, so I never had the experience of living in a building with a gargoyle outside. But that's okay. My bookshelves are covered with them instead.

As you know, yes, this little guy is one of my favorites! I saw him on the building in NYC years ago, and his image stayed in my mind. When I needed a critter for my books, he just popped right up ;-) He always makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered GargoyleGirl thanks to Juliet Blackwell on FB. Love your photography and blog! I have a great love of gargoyles and have collected them over the years....I am from San Francisco but stuck in Tallahassee, FL. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found the blog through Juliet, Nicole! I'm always happy to find another gargoyle fan.
ReplyDeleteEven though you're far from San Francisco, you know you're not missing much on the gargoyle front here. With the cool architecture, I'm surprised by how few gargoyles there are in this city!
